There’s a great post over at in which the author compares orchestral marketing departments to the dark lord Beelzebub himself and suggests some constructive ways to make concerts more compelling.

It’s nice to see I’m not the only person to think that Yuja Wang can upstage the rest of a symphonic program so completely that it might as well not be there.
