I’m astonished that writers are still hanging on to that tired, old story as if it was news — it isn’t. The whole landscape of the classical music business has changed over the past 10 years and, the joke is, they’ve been writing those changes. I’d love to chalk these kinds of stories off to a “slow news cycle” but I can’t.
